Congrats to our Guitar Ensemble!

The TJC Guitar Ensemble has been awarded the Gold With Honours for the second consecutive year!!!

See them in action during our Arts Festival:
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Temasek Junior College, the TJC Guitar Club proudly presents Aurora XI. The theme of the concert this year is “esperanza”, which translates from Spanish to “hope” – a reflection of the club’s dream of being able to share the wonders and beauty of the guitar with others.

This year’s concert repertoire includes popular classical works from renowned composers, such as Mozart’s “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik” and Francisco Tárrega’s “Lagrima”. It also features contemporary favourites such as Utada Hikaru’s Japanese single, “First Love”, and Akon’s R&B hit “Lonely”. Members of the audience will also be able to view the 2 masterpieces which enabled the Club to attain its second consecutive Gold (With Honours) award at the SYF Central Judging Competition earlier this year.

Residents from the Moral Home for the Aged will be joining us in this occasion. To bring further sparkle to the concert, guest players from the Toa Payoh Guitar Club and the Singapore Niibori Guitar Ensemble will also be joining hands with the TJC Guitar Club to present to you Aurora XI—a night filled with magic.
